Rachael’s Forest – shortlisted for the 1998 Wilderness Society’s Environmental Award for Literature

My Dog – won 2002 CBCA Book of the Year for Younger Readers, plus Honour book in the Picture Book category, as well as being shortlisted for the 2002 NSW Premier’s Literary Awards in the Patricia Wrightson Prize for Children’s Literature

Pup – 2002 CBCA Notable Book

Two Summers – shortlisted for 2004 CBCA Picture Book of the Year and received the Crichton Award.

A Horse Called Elvis – awarded 2005 CBCA Honour Book for Younger Readers, and shortlisted for 2007 YABBA awards in a new section for Years 7-9 readers, and again in 2008

The Island – received 2006 CBCA Honour Book Award for Picture Books and a White Raven award at Bolognas, being inducted into the International Youth Library in Munich.

The Boot Thief – 2007 CBCA Notable Book

Marty’s Shadow – won 2008 CBCA Honour Book for Older Readers, and shortlisted for the 2008 Queensland Premier’s Literary Awards.
